Plan Yourself Pregnant

12 Months From Now

Where do you want to be in 1 month, 6 months or 12 months from now?

What do you want your life to look like?

Most people underestimate what they can achieve in 1 year and overestimate what they can do in 1 week.

Take a moment to consider your to-do list.

Does it stress you out that you have a hundred items on your to-do list and that just thinking about it makes your cortisol soar?

When you think about it most of the things on your to-do list are pretty insignificant compared to the one big thing you want.

Getting pregnant and having a baby has to take priority now.

Zoom out and think about your life, do you see how your to-do list can wait, but your baby window is finite?

How would it feel to focus on having a baby? To know that you are doing everything you can to improve your fertility and get pregnant quicker. To prioritise having a baby for a short period of time and to park the to-do list.

Your homework is to look at your to-do list and work out what you can delegate, cross off (because it’s not going to happen right now) or forget about it completely.

Your homework is to focus on the one big priority. To get pregnant this year.

I’m not advising that you obsess about having a baby. Getting baby-obsessed can be counter-productive. What I’m suggesting is that you:

  1. Lower your stress levels and get your cortisol and adrenalin in check. Stop rushing around competing with the rest of humanity to be as busy and important as you can be. It’s not normal or good for you to look at your phone every time it beeps or to check your messages as soon as you wake up. It creates a lot of stress to feel like you are constantly on. Find wholesome ways of relaxing and rejuvenating.

  2. Create more fun, pleasure and joy in your life. Do activities that light you up and make you feel happy. Spend time making love and cherishing your partner rather than thinking about the sex schedule around ovulation time.

  3. Look after your health and you’ll improve your fertility. Increase your health, your egg quality, your womb lining and your balance your hormones. Eat and drink the right stuff to nourish yourself and your future baby.
